Hiring a full-time Landscaping and Horticulture Supervisor for permanent position
Maki's Mowing and More Inc.

Employment Condition
-$25.50/hour (35 hours per week)

Employment Requirement
-A college diploma in landscaping, horticulture, agriculture or a related field
-A minimum of 2 years' experience in related fields as a supervisor and/or technician
-Valid G driver’s license in good standing with a clean driving record
Skills and Qualifications
-Client focused and a team player
-Ability to supervise 1-4 people
-Ability to communicate in English
-Experience in hard and soft landscaping and property maintenance
-Knowledge of producing and maintaining plants and short-cycle crops for domestic gardens
Main Duties
-Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers who maintain lawns, gardens, and other landscaped areas
-Conduct needs analysis consultations with clients to enable accurate quotes and estimate the materials and labour requirements for individual contracts
-Organize and direct the planting, installation, and construction on clients’ lawns and gardens for hard and soft landscaping
-Develop and direct the planting and growing of short-cycle crops and other plants for urban gardens in proper soil composition, plant selection, weed control, and crop rotation
-Requisition supplies and materials for landscaping and horticulture projects
-Produce and apply organic and biodynamic fertilizer and organic pest control for urban gardens
-Maintain and operate trucks, trailers, mowers, and other equipment as needed for the completion of work
-Resolve and record client complaints and relay their preferences to other co-workers and managers
-Resolve other work-related problems and maintain personnel progress and other reports
-Establish work schedules and procedures for contracted work and co-ordinate activities with other work units
-Train new workers in job duties and company policies
-Provide snow removal services during winter months
-May perform the same duties as workers supervised such as lawn mowing, overseeding and cleanups
