Description
One (1) full-time position at 40 hours a week providing care for one male with Alzheimers. Work Wednesday to Sunday from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. This is a live-in position. Urban and scent-sensitive working environment. Duties include: administering medications, assisting with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, assisting with regular exercises (e.g. walking), assuming full responsibility of the household in the absence of the householder, laundering clothing and linens, performs light housekeeping and cleaning duties, provides companionship and personal care, prepares and serves nutritious meals. Must be able to handle weight of 81-100 kgs (177-220 lbs)

Education Level
Caregiver/Home Care Worker certificate or equivalent experience.
Required Skills
Experience of 2 to less than 3 years of caring for people with Alzheimers Disease. Physical capabilities include bending, crouching, kneeling, a combination of sitting, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
Additional Skills
Personal suitability includes punctuality, a client focus, patience and compassion, excelllent interpersonal and oral communication skills. Must be flexible and show initiative and good judgement. Must be organized and reliable. CPR and First Aid certificates required. Criminality and Vulnerable Sector checks, and proof of immunization all required.
