Job Description:

Drive commercial truck-trailer units’ long haul to transport various goods and materials to various destinations across USA/Canada; Responsible for completion of paperwork such as freight bill, load sheet, log books, Bill of lading and Trans-border documentation; Trip planning using GPRS; Conduct Pre-trip and in-route inspection; Safely secure the load, Maintain accurate records of cargo, hours of service, fuel receipts; Receive and relay information to dispatcher;  Oversee Load-ing and unloading of loads; Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes; May drive as part of a two-person team or convoy ;Perform other related duties.

 

 

Requirements:

Class-I Driver’s license

 

Notes:

 

1. Will look at subsidizing the Mandatory Entry Level Training Program costs as required by ICBC.

2. USA visa would be an asset but not required. Applicants can apply for this upon emloyment.
