Job Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and guide the inventory control staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure that materials and products are available in the right amounts to meet demand.
- Assess current inventory methods and implement improvements for better efficiency.
- Prepare and update necessary paperwork for vendor products, ensuring accuracy in inventories and resolving any discrepancies.
- Oversee all inventory control processes, documenting procedures to maintain equipment and tools effectively.
- Protect all materials and coordinate shipments as required.
- Manage customer return shipments in cases of shortages or damages, communicating issues to manufacturers as needed.
- Organize and oversee operational logistics, establish work schedules and procedures, and resolve work-related issues.
- Prepare and submit progress and other reports, coordinating activities with other supply chain departments.
- Educate employees on inventory control processes and update procedures as necessary.
- Manage all communication and inventory transactions with the inventory control manager, making recommendations as necessary.
- Coordinate, assign, and review the work of clerks engaged in shipping, receiving, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventories of materials, parts, and products.
