Position Info:

• Position: Dental Laboratory Technician Assistant
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $30.00-37.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 943 E Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC V6A 0H1

Job Duties:

• Cast gold or metal alloys to fabricate dental bridges and denture frameworks
• Prepare wax bite blocks and custom impression trays for use in dental prosthetic procedures
• Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
• Fabricate orthodontic bands using metal and alloy materials based on prescription specifications
• Prepare plaster models and molds for dental prosthetic fabrication
• Mould wax over denture setups to simulate the final form and contour of the finished prosthesis
• Finish and polish metal frameworks of dentures to ensure proper fit and aesthetics
• Polish and buff dentures to achieve a smooth, natural-looking finish and ensure patient comfort
• Sterilize and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with infection control protocols

Job Requirements:

• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
