Central Fabricating & Welding is a reputable provider of Fabrication and Welding solutions, to a wide range of industries including the automotive, food, beverage, construction and agricultural industries.

Located in Beamsville Ontario, Central Fabricating & Welding has been providing services since 1982 with facilities consisting of over 60,000 square feet of fabrication and manufacturing spaces filled with heavy-duty machinery providing Fabricating and Welding services in the region.

Central Fabricating & Welding is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team based out of Beamsville Ontario.  The Mechanical Engineer will be mainly responsible to to perform duties related to the evaluation, installation, operation, and maintenance of the various mechanical systems and machines within the facility.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and specifications for machinery and systems within the facility;
  • Help procure components, tools, fixtures and equipment as needed;
  • Analyze vibrations and operations of machines and systems as needed to ensure smooth operations;
  • Supervise and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical systems within the facility;
  • Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs and provide guidance to management;
  • Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems;
  • Develop applications using CAD/CAM (computer-assisted drafting, computer-assisted manufacturing) for the control of machinery, robots, computer numerical control (CNC) machines and other manufacturing processes and operations;

 

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

·       A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related engineering discipline is required.

·       Work independently without close supervision

·       Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work.

·       Ability to interact with people effectively and in a professional manner.

·       Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
