Primary Job Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and track marketing programs such as branding, newsletters, email, social media, digital and print campaigns
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to develop and monitor strategic marketing initiatives
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities; analyze and report on the statistics, performance and efficiency of campaigns
  • Develop and create marketing materials, such as sales and product collateral, and ensure brand guidelines are met
  • Write, proofread, and edit creative and technical content across different social media platforms including websites, Wechat, Instagram, Zhihu, Weibo etc.
  • Work with external partners in and vendors in China to execute marketing programs
  • Primary contact for prospective universities, agencies, and international students’ agents by providing on-going networking, communication and counselling
  • Develop, extend and maintain productive partnerships with universities, learning institutions, and educational organizations in China and France to establish proprietary admission pathways, joint programs, and to launch new marketing initiatives
  • Organize and participate in marketing events and education fairs and represent Portfolio Education Group in the education and career consulting market to recruit international students’ agents
  • Provide excellent customer service to potential agents and students through consistent and effective outreach and follow-up
  • Following through agreed-upon processes to manage, monitor and convert inquiries into prospective clients




Minimum qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience working in marketing in education-related industry
  • Minimum Bachelor ‘s degree in arts, marketing, or related fields
  • 2+ years’ experience in international partnership facilitation and management in an academic environment such as agreement development and negotiation, delegations, partnership development, etc.
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin, working proficiency in French is an asset
  • International experience as study abroad, lived abroad or worked abroad is an asset. Knowledge of education and academic systems outside of Canada (North America/International).
  • Familiar with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Wechat, Weibo, Zhihu, Red etc.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to review marketing contents and make recommendations for revisions
  • Exceptional intercultural communication skills with extensive experience working in diverse work environments
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to develop strategic relationships with universities and educational institutions
  • Excellent organizational, planning, project management skills and demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and projects
  • High level of customer service skills and ability to maintain confidentiality. Exhibits tact and diplomatic skills. Ability to deal courteously and effectively with all people while obtaining and providing information
  •  Advanced proficiency in Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other presentation and design programs), database processing applications (Access, Excel), and outlook
  • Willing to travel internationally (minimum 30%)
