Permanent employment, Full time 40 hours / week, Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm



Employment conditions: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening



Wage: $16.00 / Hour

We are looking for a parent's helper to help take care of three youths, an age 12, an age 2 and an infant. This means that you will be looking after a group of multi-aged children. This position is an 8 hour shift position from Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm. In the morning, you're responsible for preparing meals for the children and taking the age 12 to school with the other two children accompanying you. After dropping off the child at school, you are responsible for the light housekeeping and overseeing and preparing the children's afternoon meals. You are also responsible for the play-time, recreational activities and rest periods of the other two children.



In the afternoon, you will pick up the age 12 from school, and assist them with their homework. You will also help the children with their recreational activities such as sports or arts and crafts. You will also assist with preparing dinner or afternoon snacks for the children.



Overall you will be maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home. You will also be implementing the disciplinary methods instructed by the parents. You will also look after the children's emotional needs during parent's absence. For the infant, you will be sterlizing bottles and preparing formula. You will have to handle with bathing, dressing and feeding the infant. You will also be tasked with changing diapers of the infant. You may organize indoor or outdoor activities for the children that can promote exercise or for educational purposes.
