Description
We are looking for well-experienced Pastry Chefs for “10tation Event Catering” located at 232 Norseman Street, Etobicoke, ON, M8Z 2R4 Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

Assist in the preparation and production of a wide variety of baked goods, including pastries, cakes, desserts, bread, and specialty items, following standardized recipes and company procedures.

Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients with precision, ensuring all required components, tools, and equipment are properly assembled and ready for efficient pastry production.

Maintain a well-stocked and organized workstation, monitoring inventory levels of baking supplies and ingredients to ensure consistent availability and reduce production delays.

Apply professional baking and cooking techniques, monitoring time, temperature, and texture to ensure products meet desired consistency, flavour, and presentation standards.

Decorate and garnish baked goods with precision and creativity, applying icings, glazes, fillings, and toppings to enhance the visual appeal and quality of the final products

Conduct quality checks on all finished products, assessing taste, texture, appearance, and consistency to ensure alignment with 10tation’s high production standards.

Respond professionally to customer inquiries, requests, and feedback, using product knowledge and communication skills to enhance customer satisfaction and service experience.

Maintain strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations, including safe handling of ingredients, allergen controls, and adherence to health codes and company policies.

Follow proper storage, labelling, and rotation procedures, ensuring freshness and minimizing waste across all pastry ingredients and finished goods.

Support a safe and organized kitchen environment, ensuring cleanliness of work areas, adherence to occupational health and safety guidelines, and active contribution to a collaborative team atmosphere.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary school or equivalent
Experience & Skills: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the food industry
Language: English
Annual Salary: $53,150 to $56,000 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay,
