Salve Health Care Services is looking for Patient Care Aide to work with our team.
Title: Patient Care Aide
Opening: 2 positions (Permanent, Full-time)
Wage: CAD 19.50 – 22.50 per hour
Working hour: At least 30 hours per week
Benefit: 4% of gross pay or 10 days of paid vacation

Office Location: 309-747 East 8th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5T 1T3
Work Location: Candidates will be required to work at various locations in Metro Vancouver area.
Basic Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school education is required
- College courses or training program in related field is an asset
- CPR certificate or First Aid certificate is an asset
Work Experience
- At least 1 year of previous work experience is an asset
Main Duties:
- Perform health-related duties including monitoring blood pressure, temperature, pulse and other physical conditions
- Document and record patients’ medical status, symptoms, behavioural changes and significant observations
- Perform procedures such as routine diabetic tests, dispense oral medications, administer suppositories under the direction of registered nurses
- Respond to emergent situations by first aid as necessary
- Help patient with menu selection, serve meals and assist in feeding as required
- Assist in personal hygiene such as bathing, dressing, oral care and grooming patients
- Empty bed pans, make beds and maintain patients’ room
- Provide assistance with lifting and transferring of patients within established procedures
