Since 2002, Airnet Wireless Inc., based out of Grafton, Ontario, has been providing high speed internet service to the residents of Northumberland County. Over the past 10 years, the company has expanded the network by adding more towers and upgrading their hardware, resulting in being a respected local telecommunications provider.
Today, Airnet Wireless services most of Northumberland County with more than 20 repeater stations that use state-of-the-art equipment designed by leading North American suppliers. Airnet Wireless is constantly seeking to grow their network and their service and at this time Airnet is seeking to hire a Telecommunications Equipment Installer/Tower Constructor.
The ideal candidate will have experience with metal manufacturing, engineering, design and construction as well as with computers and networking related to telecommunications. They will also be reliable, demonstrate initiative, flexibility, accuracy and good judgement. They will be a team player with excellent written communication and oral communication and client focus.

MAIN JOB DUTIES
Design and build telecommunications towers
Install, maintain and repair electronic equipment,
Adjust, align, replace or repair electronic equipment and assemblies,
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems,
Inspect and test electrical equipment and apparatus,
Diagnose and locate circuit, component and equipment faults,
Erect and maintain steel, wood or concrete poles, towers and guy wires
Determine nature, cause and location of trouble,
Initiate the dispatch of appropriate repair personnel,
Complete and maintain test and service reports,
Complete work orders, test and maintenance reports,
Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment
Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace or repair telecommunications equipment,
Inspect and test operation of telecommunications equipment
Read and interpret blueprints
Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes and other lifting equipment
Carry up to 50 lbs

Experience and Education:
Work Experience Required: 3-5 years of related experience

Compensation and Hours:
Wages from: $26.75
Hours per day: 8
Hours per week: 40
Overtime After: 40 Hours
Maximum Hours of Work: 48
Overtime Rate: $40.13

Vacation and Benefits:
Vacation: 2 weeks of vacation annually after completing one year of employment (per Federal Labour Code)
General Holidays: 9 paid general/statutory holidays (per Federal Labour Code)
