Restoration Carpenter (1 vacancy)

$28.00 Hourly, for 40.00 Hours per week

Several locations in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia and 4038 West 17th Ave, Vancouver, BC, V6S 1A6

Education:
No formal education required

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in restoration carpentry required

Languages:
Written and Oral English

Specific Skills:

– Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
– Maintain, repair, renovate and glaze wooden structures, wood heritage windows and doors.
– Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.

– Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
– Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware.
– Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub–flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
