Hanna Fresh Market (formerly known as Super A Foods/Pharmasave) in Alberta is looking for a Retail Meat Cutter to join our team.
Position: Retail Meat Cutter
Position Available: 1
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: C$20.00 per hour
Work Hours: 30.00 hours per week
Vacation: 10 days of paid vacation per year OR 4% of gross salary for vacation pay
Job Location: Hanna, AB
Main Job Duties:
o Cut, trim, bone and prepare standard cuts of meat and poultry for sale at self-serve counters or according to customers' orders
o Grind and slice meats using powered grinders and slicing machines
o Shape, lace and tie roasts and other meats or poultry
o Weigh meats for sale
o Wrap and display prepared meats and poultry
o Manage inventory, keep records of meat sales
o Ensure food storage conditions are adequate to maintain freshness of products and food safety and sanitation standards are met
o Supervise other butchers and meat cutters
Job Requirements:
– No degree, certificate or diploma is needed, but completion of Grade 10 courses is required.
– 1 year of meat cutting experience is required.
– Language of work: English
