Skills Requirements:
- Education: completion of secondary/high school graduation certificate
- Work experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Job Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of cashiers, gas station attendants, and shelf-stockers to ensure efficient sales and service operations in both the gas station and convenience store
- Assign duties and prepare work schedules for cashiers, and gas station attendants to ensure adequate coverage and efficient service during all operating hours
- Authorize payments, manage the return of merchandise, and ensure all transactions are handled accurately and in line with store policies
- Resolve issues that arise, such as customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and prevent disruptions in service
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels for snacks, beverages, groceries, lottery tickets, tobacco products, pre-made food items (sandwiches, subs, burgers), and propane to ensure the store is well-stocked
- Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising strategies, and personnel performance to provide insights for business optimization and decision-making
- Hire, train, or arrange for the training of new staff, and monitor and report on their performance to ensure consistent service quality
- Ensure the store’s visual standards, including product displays, signage, and cleanliness, are maintained to create an appealing and organized shopping experience
- Occasionally perform the same duties as workers supervised, such as cashiering or stocking shelves, when necessary to maintain service levels
- Perform key holding and managerial duties when required, such as opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries
