Simply Fun Hillside is looking for a Full-time Early Childhood Educator
- Position: Early Childhood Educator
- Employment term: Permanent, full-time
- Start Date: ASAP
- Wage: $18.50 – $21.00/hr (depending on experience)
- Hours: 30 – 40 hours/week
- Benefits: 4% vacation pay per year
Job Duties:
- Responsible for the constant supervision, safety and well-being of the children
- Recognize and responds to the needs of each child by using developmentally appropriate teaching and child behaviour management techniques
- Evaluate the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss problems/progress with parents and with management regularly
- Plan and implement childcare programs to promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children and operate at all times in compliance with all childcare licensing standards
- Ensure that the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe
- Assist and encourage children to learn proper eating, dressing, toilet habits
- Schedule and maintain weekly and monthly activities
- Maintain policies and procedures, including disciplinary policies
- Attend staff meetings as directed by management
- Must be able to relate to children on their level, without losing sight of teaching objective
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by management
Job Requirements:
- Valid E.C.E Certificate
- Valid First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate
- Experience is an asset
Educational Requirement:
- A college certificate or diploma in early childhood education
Language Requirements: Proficient level of English skills is required
