Tasks
Develop and implement child-care programs that support andpromote the physical, cognitive,emotional and socialdevelopment of children, Lead activities by telling or readingstories, teachingsongs and taking children to local points ofinterest, provide opportunities to express creativitythrough themedia of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity, Guideand assist children in thedevelopment of proper eating, dressingand toilet habits, Observe children for signs of potentiallearningor behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents,guardians or supervisor, Assessthe abilities, interests and needsof children and discuss progress or problems with parentsandother staff members, Establish and maintain collaborativerelationships with co-workers andcommunity service providersworking with children, Plan and maintain an environment thatprotectsthe health, security and well-being of children
