Position Info:

• Position: Sous-Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $30.00~$37.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 1-612 Head Street, Victoria, BC V9A 5S8

Job Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of cooks and other kitchen staff
• Prepare and cook a variety of meals and specialty dishes according to established recipes
• Train kitchen staff in proper food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices
• Show kitchen staff how to use new cooking techniques and operate new kitchen equipment effectively
• Guide cooks on proper methods for food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies
• Develop menus and ensure all food items meet established quality

Job requirements:

• Language: English
• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience is required.
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
