Description

As the Team Lead you will lead and oversee the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and quality control of the Vancouver Island Regional Mental Health and Wellness Team, which focuses on enhancing mental health and wellness outcomes through targeted service improvements. These include cross continuum mental health and wellness services, including trauma-informed practice, outreach, and crisis response services. Prioritizes optimizing the mental health and wellness service experiences of First Nations and Aboriginal individuals and families, thereby impacting overall mental health and wellness services for the community population. Builds and nurtures partnership with BC First Nations communities on Vancouver Island, Island Health staff and leadership as well as other partners.
Education & Experience
• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or related professional qualifications with a specialization in mental health
• Up to date registration and in good standing with professional regulatory body (i.e. BC Association of Clinical Counsellors)
• 5 to 7 years of experience working with complex social systems, including that in a previous leadership role, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
• Experience working with First Nations people and communities
