Tigger’s Playschool Daycare is seeking F/T Early Childhood Educators

Position Info:

• Position: Early Childhood Educator
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $24.00~$27.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  2
• Work Location: 1161 Princess Ave, Victoria, BC V8T 3L2

Job Duties:

• Create and implement child-care programs that help and encourage the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
• Help children in establishing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
• Offer children various opportunities to express their creativity through a range of enjoyable and diverse activities
• May oversee and coordinate activities or other staffs
• Participate in staff meetings to discuss the progress and challenges related to children's development
• Detect the signs of potential learning or behavioural problems of children, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
• Plan activities by sharing stories, teaching songs, and organizing craft sessions
• Maintain a safe environment that prioritizes the well-being and security of children

 

Job requirements:

• Experience: Experience is an asset
• Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required
• Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
• Language: English
