Job Description:
The yard attendant will work with their managers and other yard attendants to ensure that everything is well kept and organized. Additionally, they will work with our team on improving our facilities in between managing incoming/outgoing deliveries as well as helping maintain company equipment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Check in with manager each morning to see what orders need to be picked and ready for delivery and/or pick-up. Load outgoing and unload incoming trucks in yard. • Clean up and organize around yard (garbage, bunks, lumber), put away tools and equipment not in use. • Assist with inventory counts and let manager know when stock is getting low. • Service rental equipment before each use (bracing, guard rails, concrete vibrator, etc.). • Help walk-in customers find what they’re looking for and assist them with loading into their vehicle.
Strong organizational and communication skills. • Strong math skills. • Must be able to lift over 50lbs • Experience in driving trucks and trailers is considered an asset.
