Job Title: Web Developer
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full time
Salary: $27.00-$30.00 for 35-40 hours/week
Position Available: 02
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
We are looking for an outstanding Web Developer to join our team who will be responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout of a website according to a company’s specifications.
As Web Developer, the candidate must perform the following job duties.
Job Duties:
- Meet with clients to discuss their website design and requirements
- Writing efficient codes and integrating audio, video and graphics into the site
- Creating website layout/user interface using standard HTML/CSS practices
- Researching different software programs, maintaining software documentation
- Maintaining and expanding the website once built
- Managing a team might also be part of the job role
- Constant communication with other colleagues in the business to develop and deploy their content – and ensuring there is a clear establishment of what can be created within what timeframe
- Working quickly and carefully to complete small edits requested by customers
Requirements:
• Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certifi cate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
• Experience: 1 – 2 years of relevant experience
• Language: English is a requirement
Skills:
- Thorough functional knowledge and coding experience
- Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization
- Ability to multitask with strict time constraints, budgets, and business goals
- Strong communication skills
- Management experience or examples that show ability to manage a team, should this role involve team management
