SMS Silencers is seeking experienced welders to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for knowing and practicing safe working methods, and have a strong knowledge of shop practices, procedures, techniques, tools, equipment, quality control and safety equipment.

Position: Welders
Number of positions – 8
Location: Brampton
Language: English
Work Hours: Shifts as required, 37 hours per week
Responsibilities:
The ability to follow blueprints and building plans • Measure, cut, or shape metal, wood, plastic, and other materials, using power tools and large shop equipment • Sound knowledge of tools and methods of all aspects of metal working, from building large structures to finer store fixtures and custom assets • Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find material and equipment requirements • Must be able to lift up 60lbs • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
Skills:
Ability to work independently in a busy environment • Experience with routine maintenance operations • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing • Able to work well under pressure • Strong attention to detail
Qualifications:
Two to three (2-3) years experience.
Vocational course in welding or previous welding training.
Compensation: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour depending on experience
