Position Info:

• Position: Chef
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $34.62~$36.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
• Number of Positions:  1
• Work Location: 800 McBride Boulevard #28, New Westminster, BC, V3L 1Z5

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty foods
• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities of the establishment
• Consult with clients regarding specialty functions
• Estimate food and labor costs, and food requirements
• Plan menus and ensure food and service meet quality standards
• Manage activities of sous-chefs, cooks, and kitchen helpers
• Hire and train new kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
• Take control of kitchen equipment purchases and repairs

Job requirements:

• Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
