Dairy Max is looking to hire a Packaging Supervisor for the afternoon shift.
Work Location: 2726 Slough Street, Mississauga, ON, Canada
Job Title: Packaging Supervisor
Salary: $27.00 – $28.00 per hour depending on work experience
Work Hours/Work Setting: 35 hours per week. Shift: 12pm – 7pm Tuesday to Saturday in a warehouse setting.
Job Description and Duties:
Accountable for daily pre-operations inspections of machinery and paper work for various production lines
Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of workers who process, package, test and grade food and beverage products
Verify proper packaging materials and ensuring proper product in being placed within the packaging
Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
Responsible for coordinating and completing all shipping documentation
Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a quality issue
Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
Train new employees on process, materials and equipment handling.
Completion of a 1-year college degree
Excellent written and oral English communication
Good negotiation skills, Flexible, Effective interpersonal skills, Client focus
Comfortable working in a cold environment and around daily and products for extended periods of time.
Experience working in a food industry would be an asset
