Description
We are looking for a full-time Drafting Technologist to join our team in Burnaby, BC, Canada.

Position: Drafting Technologist, Full time, Permanent
Wage Rate: $38.50 per hour / 40 Hours per week
Benefit: Dental and Extended health benefit after 3 months of employment
Work Location: 8337 East Lake Dr suite 119 Burnaby, British Columbia V5A 4W2
Start date: as soon as possible
Main Duties:
– Prepare engineering designs and drawings
– Read blueprints to determine work requirements
– Supervise other drafting personnel
– Train new drafting personnel
– Develop and prepare design sketches
– Prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates
– Prepare contracts and tenders
– Write technical reports
– Estimate costs and materials
– Complete documentation packages and drawing sets
– Examine drawings for conformity and errors
– Consult with client, engineers or production specialists to establish product requirements
Qualifications:
– 2 year college program in engineering design and drafting technology or in a related field
– 1 to 7 months of relate experience
– High School graduation or higher
– Able to communicate in English
