Skills Requirements:
- Education: Completion of secondary/high school graduation certificate
- Work experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a retail store supervisor is required
Job duties:
- Supervise and coordinate cashiers and gas station attendants to ensure efficient customer service and smooth transaction flow throughout the store.
- Assign duties to cashiers and gas attendants and prepare daily and weekly work schedules to ensure proper staffing across all sections, including groceries, food, and fuel services.
- Authorize customer transactions, including refunds or exchanges, to ensure compliance with store policies and customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer issues such as complaints, special requests, or supply shortages in a timely and professional manner to maintain a positive customer experience
- Maintain inventory levels of gas, diesel, propane exchange and convenience store items like dairy, produce, snacks, beverages, lottery tickets, tobacco, automotive products, ice cream and slushie and hot food like sub sandwiches and burger, stocking and ordering merchandise to meet customer demand.
- Prepare and submit daily reports regarding sales volumes, stock levels, merchandising activities, and staff performance.
- Hire, train, and oversee cashiers and gas attendants, ensuring they are knowledgeable about store products, safety protocols, and customer service standards; regularly monitor and report on performance.
- Ensure store cleanliness and presentation meet visual standards, including maintaining displays, signage, and food preparation areas.
- Perform key holding responsibilities, such as opening and closing the store, handling escalated customer complaints, signing for deliveries, and ensuring the safety and security of the premises.
- Step in to perform cashier and gas attendants duties as needed during peak hours or staff shortages to maintain operations.
