Job Description:

Position: Home Support Worker

Employer: Francesco Crema and Bienvenida Logronio

Working address: 603 Rutland Crt. Coquitlam, BC, Canada V3J 3T8

Employment term: Full-time, Permanent

Hours of work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Wage: $23.00 per hour

Benefit: 10 days of paid vacation or 4% of gross salary

Job Duties:

• Administer essential care, including repositioning, monitoring comfort levels, and providing general bedside assistance.

• Support with bathing, grooming, toileting, and other aspects of personal hygiene.

• Provide support with minimal mobility needs, such as transferring from bed to a wheelchair or repositioning to prevent bedsores.

• Prepare and assist with feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met according to medical recommendations.

• Wash and maintain clothing, bed linens, and other household fabrics.

• Maintain a clean and organized environment, including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing as necessary.

• Plan and prepare therapeutic diets and meals based on medical requirements.

• Provide emotional support, engage in light conversation, and ensure a comforting presence.

• Shop for food, medical supplies, and other necessities.

• Assist in organizing and reminding the client to take prescribed medications as directed by healthcare professionals.

Job Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school is required.

Experience: Related experience could be an asset, but not mandatory.

Criminal Record Check, Reference Check Needed
