Young Pocha Korean BBQ Restaurant is a renowned restaurant in Halifax, NS Canada. We are committed to delivering exceptional food and service, and we are in the process of hiring a Restaurant Host/hostess.

Position: Restaurant Host/hostess (NOC 64300)

Job Responsibilities:

– Greet and welcome customers upon arrival.

– Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize service flow.

– Coordinate and supervise front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.

– Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a professional manner.

– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.

– Monitor stock of supplies and place orders when necessary.

– Assist with staff scheduling and ensure proper coverage during shifts.

– Train and guide new staff on service standards and restaurant policies.

– Ensure customer satisfaction by providing attentive and courteous service.

– Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery of food and drinks.

Requirements:

– Completion of secondary school is required.

– Previous experience would be an asset, but we will train!

Working Conditions:

• Wage: $15.20 per hour (negotiable), plus 4% vacation pay
• Working hours:  30-40 hours per week (Full-time position)
