Description
We are looking for well experienced Sous-chefs for a well-known restaurant “Studio East” located at 6021 Cunard Street, Halifax, NS B3K 1E5, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
- Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus.
- Produce high-quality plates both design and taste-wise.
- Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards.
- Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary.
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation.
- Manage and train kitchen staff, establish a working schedule and assess staff’s performance.
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately.
- Assure kitchen personnel is trained in the best cleanliness and sanitation practices.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers.
- Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation in
- conjunction with the specifications.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
Language: English
Hourly Rate: $17.35 to $ 24.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
