We are looking for a Food Services Manager for our clients. You will be reporting to 1750 Finch Avenue East, North York, ON M2J 5G3, Canada. However, you will be required to work at various locations across the region.

JOB DUTIES:

  1. Develop and implement procedures for the efficient purchasing, receiving, storage, and preparation of food items, ensuring quality control and cost-efficiency.
  2. Oversee daily operations of food service, supervising staff in areas of food production, presentation, merchandising, and portion control.
  3. Manage staffing needs, including hiring, scheduling, and training, to maintain optimal team performance and customer service standards.
  4. Support and guide front-line managers in addressing operational challenges and staffing issues to maintain smooth service delivery.
  5. Train and mentor supervisory staff, fostering leadership development and preparing succession plans for key roles within the team.
  6. Monitor and analyze financial performance, ensuring budgets, sales targets, and cost control objectives are met.
  7. Assist in creating menus and launching new food programs or promotions to increase revenue and customer engagement, including expanding catering services.
  8. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations as per government and company policies.
  9. Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and reporting, in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
  10. Enforce adherence to organizational policies, health and safety programs, and food safety standards to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.

Prerequisites:

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in Hospitality, Food & Beverage or Business or equivalent experience

Experience & Skills: 2 years to 3 years of experience

Language: English

 

Hourly Rate: $36.00 to $38.00 per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Full-time and permanent
