The Grand Buddha Bistro located in Castlegar, BC is looking for the suitable individuals for Cook positions. The details are as follows:

Work Location: Castlegar, BC

Language: English

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Wages: $17.85 CAD per hour

Duration of Job: Full time, Permanent

Main duties

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual foods for take-out customers.
• Prepare and cook special meals or customised meals as per customer and chef’s request.
• Oversee kitchen operations and flow, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• Maintain the usage of equipment, use of deep fryer, grill, oven, dispensers, and other equipment to prepare food items.
• Clean equipment, kitchen, and work area.
• Assist in designing menus and dishes, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, monitor and order supplies.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff.

Employment requirements

• Secondary school education is required.
• One-year Professional Cook 1 certificate is required or 1 year work experience as cook in Restaurant
• Food Safety Certificate is required
