Several locations in the Lower Mainland, BC and 4661 Fraser St, Vancouver, BC V5V 4H1
Skill Requirements:
– Education: No formal education required
– Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required
– Languages: Written and Oral English
Specific Skills:
– Level top surface of freshly poured concrete on floors, walls, ceilings according to grade and depth specification,
– Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement material,
– Direct placement of concrete into forms or surfaces
– Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement,
– Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
– Spread, level and smooth concrete surfaces using hand and power tools,
– Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces,
– Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces and erect scaffolding and swing stages
– Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures,
– Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers and straghtedge
– Signal and direct concrete mixing trucks to facilitate pouring concrete and move chute to direct concrete on forms
