Job Description:

DIAMOND PRECAST CONCRETE AND CASTING LTD. is hiring one Full-time Concrete finisher to join their team in Burnaby, British Columbia as soon as possible.

Job Duties:

• Inspect formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure proper setup before directing concrete placement according to required grade.
• Smooth freshly poured concrete by filling low spots and removing high points.
• Use hand tools and equipment to remove excess concrete, fill voids and achieve a smooth, uniform finish.
• Operate mechanical vibrators to consolidate concrete, eliminate air pockets and enhance overall strength.
• Apply textures based on client specifications or design plans.
• Accurately install anchor bolts, inserts, brackets and other embedded components in fresh concrete before it sets.
• Conduct waterproofing and damp-proofing treatments in accordance with project requirements to protect and preserve concrete surfaces.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to support efficient operations.
• Operate a variety of tools, including concrete saws and grinders, to cut, modify or finish concrete components.

Employment requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a two- to four-year apprenticeship program

or

2-3 years of related experience is required
