Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Wealth Management Specialist to join our collaborative advisory team. In this role, you will support clients on their path to financial independence by engaging in meaningful conversations about their life goals and helping to craft tailored financial strategies using our proprietary Omni Formula. Working under the guidance of a licensed advisor, you will help guide clients through the financial planning process. The ideal candidate will bring strong interpersonal skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to communicate financial concepts with clarity and confidence.

Job Duties:

  • Act as the primary relationship manager for clients, building trust through open communication, transparency, and a genuine interest in their financial well-being.
  • Lead comprehensive discovery meetings to understand each client’s financial situation, goals, values, and concerns, and use this information to guide conversations to uncover planning opportunities.
  • Educate clients on financial concepts, planning strategies, and product recommendations to help them feel informed and confident in their decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal professionals (portfolio managers, tax, mortgage, and insurance advisors) to develop and implement well-rounded and customized financial plans.
  • Guide clients through the implementation of their financial plans
  • Coordinating with internal teams on investment, tax, insurance, and lending strategies.
  • Track client progress toward financial goals (retirement, education, mortgage, etc.) and monitor performance of accounts, including MDS strategies.
  • Facilitate account activities, including contributions, withdrawals, and transfers, and ensure accurate tracking across platforms.
  • Open new accounts, coordinate transfers, and ensure compliance with KYC and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and ensure all activities comply with internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Educate clients and colleagues on account-specific rules (e.g., RESP, RRIF, pension transfers) to ensure proper handling.
  • Maintain relationships with investment advisors and communicate client needs and optimal strategies.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of related experience in a related financial advisor or wealth management role.
  • Completion of secondary school is required; post-secondary education in business administration, finance, commerce or related discipline is considered an asset.
  • Completion of the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) and the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) are required.
  • Working knowledge of registered and non-registered investment products (e.g., RRSPs, RESPs, LIRAs, TFSAs) and financial planning principles.
  • Proficiency with UVC CRM, Planworth, Trello and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a client-friendly way.
  • English is the required language of work.

Wage:  $89,000 per year ($42.78 hourly)

Benefits:  Discretionary bonus eligibility; 20 days of vacation; $1,500 annual Health and Welfare Trust (HWT)Job
