Description

We are looking for experienced Chef De Parties for “Oretta King West” located at King St W, Toronto, ON M5V 1M7, Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare and cook a variety of pasta dishes, sauces, and related menu items according to established recipes and standards for quality, portion control, and presentation.

  • Assist the Head Chef and kitchen management in organizing and executing daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient service and high guest satisfaction.

  • Supervise and support junior kitchen staff at the pasta station, providing guidance, training, and direction to maintain consistency and culinary standards.

  • Contribute to menu development and refinement of pasta offerings, including specialty pastas, appetizers, and seasonal or daily specials, ensuring alignment with restaurant style and customer expectations.

  • Modify pasta dishes and sauces to accommodate dietary restrictions or special guest requests.

  • Oversee daily setup of the pasta station, ensuring all ingredients, sauces, and garnishes are stocked, organized, and prepared for service.

  • Monitor inventory of pasta ingredients, place orders as needed, and manage proper storage and rotation to ensure freshness and minimize waste.

  • Maintain and supervise cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, including pots, pans, stoves, and pasta cookers, to ensure safety and functionality.

  • Uphold food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards across the pasta station and kitchen, in compliance with health regulations.

  • Foster a collaborative team environment through clear communication, support, and efficient workflow among kitchen staff.

  • Perform other duties as reasonably assigned by management.


 

Prerequisites:

Education: Secondary school or equivalent. 

Experience & Skills: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in food industry

Language:English

 

Hourly Rate: $ 36.00 to $ 38.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Full time and permanent

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay,
