Duration of Job: Full time, Permanent

Main duties

• Plan, prepare, and cook authentic Chinese and seafood dishes, ensuring high quality, taste, and presentation according to restaurant standards.

• Oversee daily kitchen operations in a busy Chinese seafood kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient coordination among staff.

• Supervise and train cooks and kitchen assistants in Chinese cooking techniques such as stir-frying, steaming, roasting, and deep-frying.

• Select and handle fresh seafood, meat, and produce, ensuring proper storage, portioning, and preparation.

• Develop and refine menu items, including seasonal and specialty seafood dishes, in collaboration with the head chef.

• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment; monitor stock levels and place orders to ensure continuous operation.

• Ensure all kitchen equipment, including woks, steamers, fryers, and ovens, is used safely and properly maintained.

• Uphold hygiene and food safety standards, ensuring kitchen cleanliness and compliance with health regulations.

• Control food costs and waste through effective portioning and inventory management.

 

 

Employment requirements

• Secondary school education is required.

• Food Safety Certificate is required

•Two-year Professional Cook  certificate is required or Three years work experience as cook in Restaurant
