J & Y Sohn Enterprises Ltd. dba Sehmi Japanese Restaurant in Port Alberni, BC is looking for a skilled and experienced Full-time Cook.

Conditions

• Position: Cook (Full-time, Permanent Position)
• Wage: $18.00 – $22.00/hour (wage to be determined depend on experience and skills)
• Working hours: 30-40 hours per week
• Ability to do shift work according to work schedule (daytime, evenings, weekends and holidays)
• Vacation: 10 paid vacation per year or 4% gross salary
• Benefits: Free meals at work and tips

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school
• 2 years of commercial cooking experience as a Cook
• Language: English is required

Job Duties:

• Prepare and cook cuisine from the menu such as tempura, udon, yakiudon, teriyaki, donburi, cutlet, and etc.
• Prepare salad dressings and sauces / soup base
• Ensure to maintain high quality of foods
• Monitor and order supplies
• Oversee kitchen operations
• May clean kitchen and work area
