Position: Early Childhood Education Worker

Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $19.00 ~ 23.00/Hour (depending on experience)

Working Hour: 30 – 40 hrs/week

Benefits:

• 4% Vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Develop Childcare programs to promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Assess children’s abilities, interests, and needs and discuss problems or progress with other ECE or parents
• Plan activities by taking children to field trips, reading books, and teaching songs
• Provide activities to develop creativity for children in the means of art, play, music or physical activities
• Teach and assist children in learning proper eating, dressing, toilet habits
• Maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
• Maintain a collaborative relationship with other ECEs and community service providers
• Plan and organize activities of other ECEs and ECE assistants
• Detect the signs of potential learning of behavioral problems of children, and prepare reports for parents or supervisor

Experience requirements:

• Experience as Early Childhood Educator in a child-care providing facilities is an asset.

Educational Requirements:

• College Certificate or diploma in Early Childhood Education is required.

Certificate Requirements:

• First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate
• E.C.E. Certificate

Language Requirements:

• English
