We are currently looking for a Appliance Service Technician to join our team!

• Position: Appliance Service Technician
• Work Hours: 35-40 hours per week
• Wage: $25.00 per hour
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Start date: ASAP
• Benefits: 10 days of paid vacation after 1 year of working continuously
• Work Location: 2425 Dawes Hill Rd, Coquitlam, BC V3K 6T2, Canada / requires travel across Vancouver mainland

 

Key duties and Responsibilities

• Perform assessments of voltage, resistance, and additional parameters using instruments designed for electrical testing
• Draft documented evaluations detailing the projected expenses for repairs
• Consult technical schematics or instruction guides to facilitate component repairs
• Identify malfunctions through the application of diagnostic tools
• Execute repairs on electrical devices and their individual elements
• Substitute components that are defective
• Provide clients with information regarding the conducted repairs and the state of their equipment
• Employ facility tools and specific diagnostic and programming devices to mend, calibrate, and update appliances

Requirements/Education and other requirements

• Completion of secondary school and training courses or a vocational program is usually required
• Successful completion of a college program in appliance repair, electronics, or a related field or several years of work experience is required
• Understanding of electronic and mechanical systems is crucial
• Understanding of safety procedures and regulations is important
• Be familiar with the tools and diagnostic equipment used in appliance repair work, such as multimeters
• Customer-focused attitude
