We are looking for an Assistant Manager of food services at 1050 Paignton House Road, Minett, ON P0B 1G0, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Supervise and train food service staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and other support personnel.

  • Ensure that staff members understand their roles, responsibilities, and standards of service, and they provide ongoing training to improve performance.

  • Ensure that all time management and payroll processes are carried out in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Coordinate tasks and work with other departments to ensure that the department runs efficiently.

  • Manage inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies. Monitor stock levels, place orders with suppliers, and ensure that inventory is properly stored, rotated, and utilized to minimize waste and maintain quality standards.

  • Assist in the development of operating budgets and administer those budgets on an ongoing basis by monitoring and tracking expenses.

  • Interact directly with customers to address inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive dining experience. Implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction survey scores and loyalty.

  • Develop relationships with key suppliers in alignment with the business plan to assist in the development of the Wine Ambassador program.

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the food and beverage operations and services.

  • Recommend changes in policies to achieve objectives based on detailed knowledge of the outlets and the respective operations.

  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and well-being of guests. 

 

Prerequisites:

 

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience, related to F&B

Experience & Skills: 1 to less than 2 years in the food industry

Language: English

 

Hourly Rate: $22.00 to $ 35.00  per hour for 30 to 40 hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
