Responsibilities
Tasks
- Cutting, trimming, and portioning various types of meat according to specific recipes and customer orders.
- Ensuring that all meat products meet quality standards in terms of freshness, appearance, and sanitation.
- Monitoring and managing meat product inventory levels, placing orders with suppliers as needed, and rotating stock to maintain freshness.
- Cleaning and maintaining meat-cutting equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of meat products to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health standards.
- Working closely with kitchen staff and chefs to coordinate meat preparation with other menu items and ensure timely service to customers.
- Being flexible and able to adjust to changing menu requirements, production demands, and customer preferences.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the meat cutting area, including regularly cleaning work surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
- Following safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries while handling sharp tools and operating meat-cutting equipment.
- Inspect the quality of meat, fish and seafood, expiry dates and ensure proper product rotation.
