Main duties:
Automotive mechanic helper performs some or all of the following duties:
- Assist mechanic in the mechanical, electrical and body repair of automobiles.
- Assist in adjusting, maintaining and installing parts and components of automotive system.
- Move tools, equipment and other materials to and from work areas
- Provide assistance with oil and filter changes for engines
- Perform miscellaneous labouring activities to help mechanic and other workers as directed
- Perform other labouring and elemental tasks as assigned.
Employment requirements:
- Secondary school education is required.
- Previous work experience in a similar role will be given priority
- Training course in the relevant field will be an asset
