Description
Position: Restaurant Cook
Terms of employment: Permanent Full-time
Wage: $15.20 – $17.00/hour (Depends on past experience)
Hours: 30- 44 hours/week
Benefits: 4% Vacation Pay
Job Duties:
- Prepare meals for customers
- Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes
- Steam, grill, boil, bake or fry meats, vegetables and other ingredients
- Check food and ingredients for freshness
- Arrange and garnish dishes
- Work well under pressure and within the time limits
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Monitor stock and place orders for ingredients and equipment
- Help lead kitchen staff with the restaurant manager
- Perform other duties when required
Educational Requirements: Completion of Secondary school is required.
Experience Requirements: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience are required.
Language Requirements: English
