Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Banquet Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, with experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant or banquet settings. As a Banquet Chef, you will play a vital role in preparing and presenting high-quality dishes for various events, ensuring that every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items for banquets and special events according to established recipes and standards.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation and service.
• Supervise kitchen staff during events, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in menu planning and food preparation for upcoming events, contributing creative ideas to enhance guest experiences.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management as necessary.
• Participate in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety practices.

Requirements

• Red Seal in Culinary Arts
• Minimum 3 years experience
• Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or banquet setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment operation.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership skills when supervising others.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
• A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering high-quality dining experiences for guests.
