Bar Manager

We are looking for a Bar Manager to work at FIGO, located at 295 Adelaide Street West, Toronto, ON M5V 1P7, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:

• Oversee and manage all bar staff and bar areas of the restaurant.
• Manage staff, provide them with feedback, and maintain a high level of employee morale.
• Ensure positive guest service in all areas; investigate and respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
• Recruit, train, and motivate bar staff; oversee continual training and performance; keep employee records up-to-date and organized.
• Create an engaging and energetic environment where all associates work as a highly functioning team.
• Create and update the beverage list in coordination with the Director of Procurement and the General Manager.
• Recommend food and beverage pairings; advise guests on beverages based on their personal tastes and food choices.
• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labour costs.
• May perform other duties reasonably assigned by management.

Prerequisites:

Education:  Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Skills:  1 year to less than 2 years of experience

Language:  English

Hourly Rate: $22.00 to $27.00 per Hour for 30 to 40 Hours per week

Starting Date: As soon as possible

Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent

Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay,
