We are looking for a Food Service Supervisor who would be a great fit for team KAHVE. We are a famous independent specialty coffee shop located in Kitsilano. Our focus is providing our customers with the HIGHEST QUALITY COFFEE (we serve MONOGRAM, PHIL and SEBASTIAN, Detour and THE BARN from Berlin, and more), great comforting food and memorable service.

• Job duties

1. Establish work schedule and supervise ingredient handling and preparation
2. Maintain storage and order ingredients and supplies needed
3. Set-up procedures and methods for a smooth flow of operations
4. Guarantee cleanliness and safety at the workplace as per health and safety guidelines
5. Handle and solve customer complaints or workplace problems efficiently
6. Train staff in job duties and co-ordinate the activities of staff for a smooth flow of operations
7. Hire and train staff

 

• Terms of employment : Permanent, full-time

• Start Date : As soon as possible

• Language of work : English

• Wage : $18.500 – 20.50 hourly based on work experience, 30-35 hours per week

• Benefit : 4% Vacation pay, generous staff discount, free staff meals and drinks, and group benefits after 6 month service

• Education Requirements : Completion of secondary school is required

• Work Experience :1 year to less than 2 years of work experience in food service industry
