Hiring – Bookkeeper: NOC 1311

 

BECA Tax & Estate Solutions Ltd., part of BECA Group, a family owned CPA firm is expanding; we have a new Richmond office opened February 2020 at Empire Centre located at 2075 – 4580 No. 3 Road, Richmond, BC, V6X 4E8

Our business is growing, and we are seeking two full-time bookkeepers to join our team permanently and grow with us.

The candidate must have at least one year of bookkeeping experience. You must be able to deal with clients independently. You must be able to handle full-cycle accounting. You are a great communicator that is fluent in English and be able to communicate directly with small business owners and CRA.

The right candidate will have a proactive and positive attitude who can prioritize and manage their time well, and we are a professional accounting firm with clients in various business sectors. There will be a lot of opportunities to grow with the firm.

Description of Duties:

Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements, Providing month-end reconciliation and filing with the government, Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports.

Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills

Complete and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents

Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services

Prepare personal income tax return and corporate tax return;

Assist clients with filing tax remittances & payroll source deductions;

Assist with communicating with CRA on behalf of clients;

Prepare year-end working paper files and related financial statements;

 

Required qualifications:

Minimum 1 years of bookkeeping experience

Graduated from an Accounting or bookkeeping Diploma.

Driving with own vehicle is an asset

 

This position comes with a competitive wage at 24.00$/hour with 30 hours per week working hours, overtime rate of 1.5 times regular rate if the additional time required (per BC Employment standards)
