Cabinetmaker

Basic Qualifications:
1) Certification as a Journeyman Cabinetmaker
2) Minimum 2 years of experience as a Journeyman Cabinetmaker

Essential Requirements:

1) Must be comfortable with custom cabinet making.
2) Solid command of the English language; spoken, written and reading.
3) Must be organized, efficient and accurate in performing the duties and responsibilities of this position.
4) Be proficient in the use of all the basic production equipment, eg. Sliding panel saws, jointer, thickness planer, shaper, drum sander, cut-off saw, 4-sided planer , Edgesander, Slot mortise/doweling machine, Veneer press, etc.
5) Must have a good working knowledge of different solid wood types, plastic laminates, plywood, particleboard, veneering, and veneered particleboard/MDF.
6) Be able to work well with other employees and participate in training apprentices.
7) Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.

Job Description:
1) Assemble cut pieces at the workbench by using drawings and cutting lists generated by the office.
2) When necessary and as requested by the Shop Foreman, be willing and able to assist the Machine Operator in cutting and planing all solid woods and sheet goods, according to cutting lists generated by the office.
3) Be willing and able to perform any other jobs necessary to meet production deadlines as requested by the Shop Foreman.
4) The Cabinetmaker is under the general supervision of the Shop Foreman.

Salary: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
