E.N.H Cabinets Ltd. is a well-established quality custom cabinets maker since 1983 serving in lower mainland, British Columbia. We manufacture our cabinetry for new Construction, Renovations, High End Custom Cabinetry and Economic Basement Suites etc. To meet the extensive need of labour shortage, we are looking to hire Cabinetmaker’s Helper and Labourer (NOC-7611). The main duties of these positions are:
- Assist tradespersons (cabinetmaker) in providing/lineup required material such as wood, countertops, locks, knobs, glue, hinges etc. Assist in installing the appropriate hardware, such as hinges and handles, and in other replacement materials
- Assist and operate the wood griding machines, saws, nail guns, compressors and other tools and equipment. Place above mentioned tools to their designated place at the end of the day
- Assist in drilling, attaching, and removing cabinets and counters. Varnishing, painting and polishing the wood base material
- Assist in taking measurements, counting inventories, and helping in preparing estimates, wrapping and protecting cabinets and cabinet parts
- Helping cabinetmakers loading and unload cabinets and other supplies to and from their vehicles. Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
- Clean and pile salvaged materials, clean and sweep work area, and maintain cleanliness in the shop. Clean and wipe all tools including handsaws, table saws, skill saws, and a variety of drills and sanding tools
- Remove and unwrap the shipment orders, rubble and other debris at work sites using appropriate weight handling tools and ensuring that all cabinets are organized, stocked, and labelled
- Being presentable, displaying good manners and demonstrating respectful behavior to co-worker and maintain a safe working environment by cleaning and disposing of old materials, such as nails and screws
- Employment requirements
- Some secondary school education is usually required
- Experience: 1 years related experience may assist but not required
- On-the-job training is provided.
Opportunity to move up to the Cabinet Maker (tradesperson) position is possible with further training and experience.

Benefits: 10 days of paid vacation (4%), 4 days of paid sick leave, basic medical coverage until covered by the provincial medical plan and moving allowance (only for people living outside of 20-kilometer radios) and all other benefits according to BC Work Standards Act.
