Carpenter (2 vacancies)

Terms of Employment: 

Permanent, Full Time

 

Salary: 

$31.25 Hourly, for 40.00 Hours per week

 

Anticipated Start Date: 

As soon as possible

Location: 

various locations throughout lower mainland, BC and #106, 34A-2755 Lougheed Highways, Port Coquitlam, BC  V3B 5Y9

 

Education:

No formal education required

 

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience required

 

Languages:

Written and Oral English

 

 

Specific Skills:

 

– Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials

– Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures

– Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements - Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools - Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware - Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
